GENERAL INFORMATION: What is an NEF?
NEF stands for Notice of Electronic Filing. This notice is sent by e-mail to all attorneys of record (and 2 - 3 members of their staff) who have registered for Electronic Case Filing (ECF) each time an electronic document is filed. Attorneys may also opt to receive NEFs in a summary e-mail that will be sent to the attorney once per day.
