Hurricane Michael - Courthouse Closures

The U.S. District Court in Panama City will be closed until further notice. 

Per Administrative Order, amended October 30th, 2018, all trials, hearings, and other matters requiring a personal appearance before the Court in Panama City Division cases will be handled in the division where the assigned district judge resides.  

In felony criminal cases, all initial appearances and related matters, including detention hearings, for Panama City Division criminal defendants shall be held in Tallahassee, Florida, except when such defendants are arrested in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa Counties. Defendants arrested in those counties shall be transported to Pensacola, Florida for such proceedings.

Parties may continue to file cases and post to Panama City in CM/ECF, but proceedings will be in the division of the assigned district judge.

Until further notice, all phone calls and mail delivery for the Panama City Division of the District Court will be forwarded to the Pensacola Division. Should you need to contact another division of the court directly, please use the information below.

 The Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Gainesville divisions are now open.

The Court will post updates to this announcement if there are any additional changes.
